Welcome to the City of Prescott Smoke Tree Lane Pavement Improvements Project eNews. The City of Prescott and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, are performing pavement improvements along East Smoke Tree Lane. This project is being undertaken to remediate smoothness issues as a result of the pavement rehabilitation performed earlier this summer. Cactus Asphalt will be milling the eastbound lane along East Smoke Tree Lane, from Thoroughbred Drive to Prescott Lakes Parkway, and installing new asphalt pavement.

Once complete, these improvements will extend pavement life and improve the ride quality for Prescott motorists. The project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2020.
MILLING OPERATIONS COMPLETE ALONG EAST SMOKE TREE LANE

Crews have finished milling the existing asphalt pavement in the eastbound lane along East Smoke Tree Lane, from Thoroughbred Drive to Prescott Lakes Parkway. 
PAVING OPERATIONS TO BEGIN ALONG EAST SMOKE TREE LANE

On Friday, asphalt paving operations will occur in the eastbound lane along East Smoke Tree Lane, beginning at Thoroughbred Drive and moving towards Prescott Lakes Parkway. Following asphalt paving operations, crews will be replacing any disturbed traffic striping.
 
Please be aware of the following impacts:
 
Friday, October 30, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The eastbound lane along East Smoke Tree Lane will be closed to through traffic while work is being performed. Please be aware of lane and access restrictions, reduced speeds, loud noise, and flagging operations throughout the work zones. Motorists are asked to follow the marked signage to get to their destination. This work is highly weather dependent and subject to change.
