GOVERNMENT CANYON BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE

The City of Prescott, ADOT, and their contractor, Vastco, Inc., have reached substantial completion of the Government Canyon Bridge Replacement Project. The project consisted of the removal of the existing Government Canyon Bridge and reconstructing a new concrete bridge on Overland Road, between East Gurley Street and Cactus Drive. Additional work included the removal and replacement of asphaltic concrete pavement, the installation of new guardrail, and striping work. This project has successful replaced and widened the aging Government Canyon Bridge. Please remain alert as crews continue performing miscellaneous clean-up work in the project work zone. The new bridge is scheduled to be open to the traveling public on Friday, July 10.

ADOT and the City are proud to bring improvements such as this to the Prescott Community and appreciate your support as our crews have worked to complete this project.
