Welcome to the City of Prescott FY25 Pavement Preservation Project eNews. Businesses and residents are reminded to call the Project Hotline at (928) 237-3114 to speak to a project team member with any questions or concerns. Please note that in the event of inclement weather the work schedule may be altered without notice.

The City of Prescott and its contractor, Cactus Asphalt, are currently working on the FY25 Pavement Preservation Project. The project includes pavement maintenance and preservation along sections of Gurley Street, Whipple Street and Montezuma Street, as shown in the maps below.

A detailed notification will be provided to those directly affected before paving begins, outlining work hours, access and expected impacts. Once complete, these improvements will extend pavement life and enhance road quality for Prescott motorists. This project is scheduled for completion in late spring 2025.

PAVEMENT PRESERVATION PREPARATION TO CONTINUE

Crews will be milling and patching sections of asphalt along Gurley Street, Montezuma Street and Whipple Street throughout the week.

Please be aware of the following impacts:

Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Please be aware of temporary lane restrictions, reduced speeds, rough road conditions, loud noise and flagging operations throughout the work zones. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained when possible. However, temporary restrictions might occur when preparation work is occurring along a roadway.

NO ON-STREET PARKING

To avoid conflicts with construction equipment, and expedite completion of the project, the City asks that you avoid on-street parking while road construction is underway. Personnel will work with businesses and residents to maintain driveway access throughout the work zones.
