Welcome to the City of Prescott Zone 41 Mingus Pump Station, Tank and Pipeline Project eNews. The City of Prescott (City) and their contractor, Technology Construction, Inc., are currently working on a new utility infrastructure improvement project that consists of removing the two existing 200,000-gallon water storage tanks on the hillside above Douglas Avenue and replacing them with a single 750,000-gallon water storage tank, as shown in the map below. Additional work includes replacing the existing Mingus Pump Station (at 810 Douglas Avenue) and upsizing the water pipe between the pump station and new tank, and along Douglas Avenue to Northside Drive.


This project is scheduled to be complete in early 2026, and is being undertaken to improve the City’s water infrastructure to meet current and future demands.

TEMPORARY WATER LINE INSTALLATION ONGOING

 

Crews will continue installing a temporary water line to ensure continuous water service to properties during the installation of new water infrastructure.

Monday through Friday, April 7 to April 18, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Please be aware of rough road conditions, reduced speeds, loud noise, flagging operations and lane restrictions throughout the work zone.
